SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is the new application platform designed for operational warehouse management, which offers the best solutions for complex logistics scenarios and full coverage of all requirements.
SAP EWM is readily adaptable to different industrial sectors, from the multi-customer warehouses of logistics operators, to the multi-facility warehouses of international companies.
SAP EWM offers flexible solutions for different types of handling and for inventory management. It provides planning tools and a reliable warehouse monitoring system. It also ensures full control of handling units, and improves operator productivity, by optimising the use of floor- and rack-space, in order to better the efficiency of the entire facility. By using wireless devices, the intuitive system guides the operator through every step of the logistics cycle, from storage to retrieval, to optimize paths and sequences of operations.
Alemea, is one of the first companies in Italy to have achieved effective integration with customers' automatic warehouses, in partnership with the SAP Research Centre.
By means of the Material Flow System (MFS) module of SAP EWM, we have drawn a model that assures:
