The ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a set of guidelines shaped by experience in the management of ICT services, based on a model relating to functions for controlling and managing the life cycle of those services. This is not a theoretical concept, but a series of practical measures that have been field-tested and are practical for implementation of IT Service Management and effective in improving the Quality of ICT Services.
By selecting AMS and ITIL as a basis for the design and management of rolling services, Alemea enables its customers to align their IT activities with current and future business needs, generating value in the form of services and reducing the associated risks.
At every stage in the life cycle of ICT services, Alemea organizes the activities of the IT department - which are generally heterogeneous and not optimized - into a series of integrated processes, adopting a business-led approach.
COBIT
COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology) is a model for the control and governance of IT that provides maturity models, indicators, metrics, processes and responsibility matrices to ensure IT system supports and extends the strategies and aims of the company.
Adopting the COBIT framework in the management of IT processes, makes a company able to align the purpose of the IT system with its entire corporate strategy, structuring processes and computer resources around business requirements with the aim of achieving its stated goals.
With the use the COBIT methodology, Alemea helps the information systems manager in the governance of IT systems, with the dual aim of creating value, through the correct management of information, and controlling risks.
IT resources, managed by IT processes, to achieve IT objectives, that answer to specific business needs; this is the principle adopted by Alemea in order to guarantee effective monitoring of performance.
